Are all homeway living products handcrafted? What techniques are used?

Yes, most homeway living products are handcrafted. Our cushions are made using traditional hand block printing on organic cotton, followed by careful cutting and stitching. Because they are handmade, slight variations may occur, making each piece unique.

Our lampshades are also handcrafted using carefully selected fabrics and quality frames. Each piece is assembled in our studio to ensure durability, proper structure, and refined finishing.

Are your fabrics and materials sustainably sourced?

Yes, sustainability and responsible sourcing are important to us. We focus on using high-quality, durable fabrics and materials. What is a double-sided lampshade?

A double-sided lampshades features decorative fabric on both the inside and outside, separated by a transparent fire-resistant lining. When lit, it creates a layered and artistic lighting effect.

What materials are used in homeway living lampshades?

Our lampshades are made using carefully curated fabrics or handprinted fabric and high-quality fire-resistant PVC lining. Each shade is professionally assembled to ensure durability and elegant finishing.

Can I have a lampshade made with my own fabric?

Yes, we can make lampshades with most fabrics. 100% cotton is most recommendable.

The fabrics that don’t work well are extremely thin fabrics (an especially thin silk), fabrics that are unusually thick, fabrics with embroidery on them (they tend to wrinkle around the embroidery) and anything that’s 100% polyester.

Do you offer custom fabric choices for lampshades?

Yes, You can send your own choice of outer fabric. Customization options are available for sizes of lampshade and lining listed on our website, For double-sided lampshades you can choose any type of other fabrics listed on our website or send your own choice of fabric.

Our cushions are designed primarily for indoor use. Occasional outdoor use is fine in covered areas, but we recommend avoiding direct sunlight, moisture, or harsh weather.

Can I customize cushion designs or colors?

How do I care for homeway living pillow covers?

To maintain the beauty and quality of your cushion cover, we recommend gentle care. Hand wash or machine wash separately in cold water using a mild detergent. Avoid soaking, wringing, or rubbing the fabric, and do not use bleach or fabric softeners, as these may damage the fabric. For spot cleaning, gently dab the area with water (do not rub). Tumble dry on low heat and iron at a medium temperature if required.

Keep out of direct sunlight to avoid excessive fading. Due to the nature of hand printed fabrics, variation in color and pattern may occur.

Returns & Exchanges Guide

What is homeway living’s return and exchange policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy from the date you receive your order. Items must be unused, in their original condition with tags and packaging, and include proof of purchase. To request a return, contact us at Info@homewayliving.com.

Approved returns should be sent to our Toronto address, and instructions will be provided once your request is accepted. Please note that custom items, sale items, and gift cards are not eligible for return.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your order is damaged during shipping, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving it. Include your order number and photos of the damage so we can arrange a replacement, repair, or exchange as quickly as possible.

If only part of your order is damaged, we can replace or repair the affected item.

Wrap lampshades in tissue paper or soft cloth, store upright in a box, and avoid placing heavy items on top. Adding silica gel or cedar blocks helps protect against moisture and insects.
